RENOVATION INFORMATION

What you need to know

The Lord has blessed First Baptist Dawsonville with an opportunity to make much-needed updates to our worship space!

Our sanctuary will undergo renovations that we expect to impact our regular schedule for approximately six weeks. During this time, we’ll have temporary adjustments to our services and gatherings. We invite you to stay informed and connected throughout the process. sunday services — starting sunday, march 2

Sunday services will take place in the Fellowship Hall, located on the lower level of the building, while the renovation project is underway. During this time, we will attend Worship Service and Sunday School based on your group.

GROUP 1

9:30 AM: Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall

11 AM: Sunday School

You are in GROUP 1 if you attend the following Sunday School classes:

  • Charlie Tarver

  • Randy Medlock

  • Ben Gandy

  • Troy Lindsey

  • Dr. Bob Strachan

GROUP 2

9:30 AM: Sunday School

11 AM: Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall

You are in GROUP 2 if you attend the following Sunday School classes:

  • First Kids (Children’s Ministry)

  • First Students (Youth Ministry)

  • Dan Ward

  • Kip Cruce

*Please note: Childcare is offered during 11 AM Worship Service for Ages 5 and under. Children 6 and Older will attend service with their families.

wednesday nights — starting march 5

There will be no regular Wednesday Night Dinners for at least six weeks starting on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Activities will begin at 6 PM starting Wednesday, March 5, until the renovation project is completed.

  • First Kids (Children’s Ministry) — Meet in Room 218 on the Main Level

  • First Students (Youth Ministry) — (No change) Meet in the Youth Loft of the Third Floor

  • Discipleship 101 with Dr. D — Meet in the Fellowship Hall

  • Choir and Band: Meet in the Choir Room on the Main Level

D-GROUPS

If you are in a D-group, you will be contacted by your D-group Leader with information on where to meet.

Our general guidance is as follows:

  • If your group meets in the SS rooms near the front of the building or in the sanctuary, you will move to a First Kids classroom.  

  • If your group meets on Wednesdays, your group will determine whether you need to move on an as-needed basis.
